Rabbit DNA Sexing Test

Available now in Tests we offer

Confirm buck or doe with DNA instead of waiting for age or relying only on visual checks. This test is especially helpful when rabbits are young, anatomy is hard to read, or a wrong guess would cause problems.

Why rabbit DNA sexing is useful

Pet rabbits and accidental litters

A wrong sex guess can lead to unexpected babies fast. DNA sexing helps owners separate rabbits correctly earlier and plan spay and neuter timing with better records.

Young kits and early identification

Kits can be difficult to sex accurately when they are very young. DNA gives a clear answer before external anatomy is easy to read with confidence.

Dwarf breeding programs

In dwarf programs, early and accurate sexing helps with keeper decisions, pairing plans, cage setup, and record keeping as litters grow out.

Ambiguous anatomy or difficult visual sexing

Some rabbits are simply harder to sex visually, and mistakes happen even with experience. DNA testing is useful when anatomy does not look typical or you want a second check.

Split penis or unusual presentation

In rare cases, anatomy such as a split penis can be confusing and may look doe-like on quick exam. DNA sexing helps confirm biological sex for management and breeding decisions.

Sales, placements, and rescue records

DNA confirmation can help avoid relabeling later, improve adoption records, and reduce stress for buyers, rescues, and breeders.

Common questions

Can I use this for baby rabbits
Yes. That is one of the most common reasons to use DNA sexing, especially when visual sexing is uncertain.
Can DNA sexing help if the rabbit was visually sexed already
Yes. Many customers use it as a confirmation when a pairing, sale, or cage setup depends on being correct.
Does this test identify dwarf or color genes too
No. Rabbit DNA sexing only reports biological sex. Dwarf and color related tests are separate.
