Shipping and Hatch Policy
This policy applies to all shipped hatching eggs. By requesting shipment or purchasing shipped eggs, you agree to the terms below.
General shipping risk acknowledgment
Hatching eggs are fragile and sensitive to handling, vibration, pressure changes, temperature swings, and delays. Even with careful packing and best practices, damage and reduced hatch rates can occur during shipping.
Once a package is accepted by the carrier, I have no control over how it is handled, the route it takes, or the conditions it experiences in transit.
Hatch rates for shipped eggs are never guaranteed.
Weather and temperature responsibility
Customers are responsible for checking their local weather and destination temperatures before requesting shipment.
I will do my best to review destination temperatures and shipping routes prior to mailing. However, I am not responsible for eggs that become frozen, overheated, delayed, or temperature damaged during transit due to weather conditions or carrier handling.
Extreme cold or heat can result in reduced hatch rates or total loss. If conditions are questionable, I strongly recommend waiting for safer weather.
Weather related losses do not qualify for refunds, replacements, or credits.
No refund policy
All sales for shipped hatching eggs are final.
No refunds will be issued for hatch rate, fertility rate, early or late hatch, quitters, weak chicks, shipping delays, weather exposure, carrier mishandling, incubation errors, or equipment issues.
These factors are outside my control once eggs leave my care.
Cracked egg exception
The only exception to the no refund policy is significant transit damage.
If more than 50 percent of the eggs in your shipment arrive cracked, you may qualify for replacement eggs when available or store credit for the value of the damaged portion.
- Contact me within 2 hours of the delivery time shown by carrier tracking
- Provide clear photos of the eggs and packaging immediately upon opening
- Include a photo of the shipping label and the inside of the box
- If the box appears damaged, photograph the unopened box before opening
- Keep all packaging until the claim is reviewed
Shipping timing and carrier notes
Shipping dates are scheduled and communicated when your waitlist spot is reached.
Carrier preference may be requested but is not guaranteed. The final carrier choice may change based on location, weather, and best chance of safe arrival.
Carrier delays, reroutes, missed scans, or delivery errors do not qualify for refunds, replacements, or credits.
If severe weather is expected along the route, I may delay shipping to protect egg viability. This decision is final and made in the best interest of the eggs.
Hatching tips for shipped eggs
- Allow eggs to rest pointy side down for 12 to 24 hours before incubation so the air cell can settle
- Upright incubators often perform best for shipped eggs, though eggs on their sides can still hatch
- Use a separate thermometer and hygrometer inside the incubator because built in readings can be inaccurate

Important note
Shipped eggs almost always have lower hatch rates than local pickup eggs due to transit stress. This is normal and does not indicate poor egg quality.
